How does this product work?
This prescription product promotes eyelash growth by prolonging the growth phase of the eyelash follicles resulting in longer lashes.
How is it applied?
Once a day at bedtime, apply a small amount of product along the upper lid just like eyeliner. It goes on the skin at the lid margin, not on the lashes.
Can I speed things up by applying it twice a day?
This is not recommended by the developers of this product.
How long will it take before I see an improvement?
This depends on how fast your lashes normally grow, and this varies considerably.
People have reported noticeable changes in as little as two weeks (these people have fast eyelash growth under normal circumstances). Four weeks is more common (these people have average rate of eyelash growth under normal circumstances). Some people's lashes grow very slowly, and for them, it may take 3 or 4 months to see the effect.
How much improvement will I see?
One study demonstrated an average increase in lash length of 25%, thickness 100%, and darkness 18%. Keep in mind that these are averages. Some people will fall above this average, some below. About 80% of study participants noticed improvements.*

Are the effects permanent?
No. Continued use is required. If you stop using the product, your eyelashes will eventually return to their original length. This would take about two to three months.
What should I do once my lashes are as long as I want them?
All you have to do is apply the product less often to maintain the effect. Try using it every 3 days. Then adjust up or down from there.
Can I use this on my lower lids or eyebrows?
This is not recommended by the manufacturer.
What are the ingredients of this product?
The active ingredient is a prostaglandin. Prostaglandins are fatty molecules that have hormone-like effects. There are dozens of naturally-occurring prostaglandins in the human body.

What are the risks of using this product?
Eye redness and irritation can occur.
Dryness of the eyes can occur.
Increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye (iris) has been seen with the use of the glaucoma drop version of this product which is applied directly into the eye in much higher doses. No pigmentation of the iris has been reported with the proper use of the eyelash growth stimulator version of this substance.
If you have glaucoma, you should not use this product unless you are cleared to do so by your eye doctor.
Can I use it if I'm pregnant or breast feeding?
DO NOT use this product while you are pregnant or breast feeding. DO NOT use it if you are trying to get pregnant. Discontinue use immediately if you discover that you are unexpectedly pregnant.
