Sclerotherapy - Hand Veins Treatment

We offer sclerotherapy to treat prominent unsightly hand veins. The technique is almost the same as for leg vein sclerotherapy. We do one hand at a time, and it can take one to three sessions per side.

These treatments are not covered by OHIP.

Keep in mind that these are normal healthy veins. They are useful in the ER and OR for administering fluids and medication. In emergency situations, if these veins are not immediately available, treatment can be delayed, and this can prove fatal. Knowing this, if you still want to treat these veins we can do it for you.

An alternative to sclerotherapy is dermal fillers to disguise the veins. There is a photo on the dermal filler page of our sister company, York Laser and MedSpa.
